Been following on instagram and wanted to try. Finally visited today (Saturday) around 2:30pm and only one other table was taken. If you are familiar with Japanese ramen then you know chasu is pork. However, this restaurant owner wanted to be little different. Their chasu is Wagyu beef. If you think pork chasu is too fatty then this place is a must. Rich flavors and their egg is perfectly cooked. Don’t be fooled by the size of the bowl for shoyu plus ramen. I was worried that it was not enough but didn’t realize the bowl was deep. It was plenty enough. Also, some had mentioned that the broth was too salty to finish. If you are aware of Japanese Ramen, then you should know that broth is not to meant to be finished. It’s just to add flavors to the ramen. We ordered beef gyoza which had good meaty taste and their egg cucumber salad was a must for me. Will need to visit again soon.
I ordered The Monster - Wagyu rib roast, wagyu chashu & beef Jam, gyukotsu, garlic miso tare, ajitama, menma, kikurage, wakame, corn, chopped leeks, red onions, sesame, nori. My friends got the Shoyu Plus and Miso Wagyu. Top ramen spot for sure. I love that they make their own noodles although I prefer thicker noodles for more chewiness. Everyone liked the broth of their ramen. Egg was cooked perfectly. All the different beef cuts in my monster ramen were excellent! Prices are quite steep. I can understand the hard labor that goes into this quality but the portion of noodles should be more in my opinion. Especially for $30+ monster ramen, you should get a double portion of noodles; not pay for extra noodles. Service was good and efficient.
Some of the best ramen I've ever had (I had a monster ramen- pretty true to its name regarding size!). Service was very attentive. Went on a Saturday early evening and no wait. The meat was incredibly tender and the flavor of the ramen was incredible. Hopefully i get to try it again one day!
Superb noodles, perfect bounce, bite and flavor. Decent portions, satisfying, comforting. I highly recommend the Kikurage salad and anything with those excellent noodles. I look forward to trying rest of menu.
A corner ramen noodle theme restaurant. Our server was friendly and has a great attitude. She was bubbly and wonderful. We had several types of ramen dishes. In general, they were little salty for our taste. Nonetheless, overall, the flavor was good. The "Monster" was my purpose here. The noodles were fresh. For my Monster ramen, I had to order additional noodles. All other supporting ingredients were adequate. For over $30 a bowl, I felt my experience should have been overwhelmed. Unfortunately, for me, I was not. For the price, I think the noodle portion should have been more generous. Nonetheless, it is a good neighborhood restaurant.
